Unique codes and QR codes for your boards
Coder gives every item a unique code that follows your pattern, checks the codes people type, and prints QR codes that update items when scanned.
| Item | Quantity | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Pallet A-12 | 4 | Checked |
| Pallet B-07 | 12 | In stock |
Scan this label with your phone
Point your phone camera at the QR code: you will see what your team sees when they scan a Coder label, and how the item changes on the board.
Typos never make it
When someone types a code by hand, Coder checks the pattern, the check character and uniqueness. A wrong code is cleared, replaced with the previous valid one, or flagged with a status, and the author gets a notification.
| Item | Code | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| Laptop 14” | SN-4821K | Marta |
| Monitor 27” | SN-1934F | Luca |
| Dock station | SN-7702Q | Sara |
“SN-19X4” does not match the pattern: the previous code was put back.
Every item gets its code
Pick a pattern like INV-{YYYY}-{SEQ:5} and Coder writes the next code as soon as an item is created. Codes are unique per board, workspace or account, and never given out twice, even after an item is deleted.
| Item | Code | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Acme Corp | INV-2026-00041 | Paid |
| Globex | INV-2026-00042 | Sent |
| Initech | INV-2026-00043 | Draft |
